New spy shots were taken from the upcoming Q2 L e-tron, the fully electric version of the compact crossover. It still wears some camouflage but apart from its front grill and the lack of exhaust tips, it looks very similar to the ICE version of the existing Q2. As far as we can see the only other difference is the slightly redesigned front and rear bumper. The L indicates the car will be built as a long-wheelbase variant.
Not much is known about the power-train specs, battery pack or the range but speculation indicates Audi is aiming for a 500km (310 miles) range.
Some sources say that the Q2 L e-tron might be exclusively built for the Chinese market but we still hope it will also be sold in Europe. Its launch is planned in China at the end of this year and will be sold alongside its bigger sibling the e-tron 55 quattro.
